Mark Hershberger recently wrote: I have often heard it said that Christianity is living in contradictions. On the issue of eternal security, and other seeming contradictions, I like to listen to Wayne Watson's (choose one: amazing, inspiring, inspired, awesome) song, The Fine Line. Quoted here from memory, so please forgive any errors: There's a fine line between contentment and greed between the things that I want and the things that I need between "enough is enough" and where desires breed there's a fine line Oh, it's a fine line between taking bread with a lost man and being consumed by his way while reaching out in love Oh, yes it's a fine line! So where do I walk? Where is my place? The straight and the narrow - The road of Grace Holding on to You Walking at your pace Walking *on* the fine line. (emphasis mine) The point is, there *IS* a fine line between many issues, and it can seem confusing and difficult to make out. The important thing is to hold fast to Jesus, the Rock of our Salvation, the Cornerstone of our Faith. Jesus has no trouble seeing the fine line, and if we walk with Him, we'll follow that line. Just because we have trouble seeing it doesn't mean it's not there. The only *right* place to walk is *ON* the line. Fortunately, it's a road of GRACE, not GREASE. Jesus holds on to us so that we will not slip off the road.
